Jamaica v South Africa Friendly International
Posted on Thursday, November 12 @ 08:13:50 GMT by admin

Events Jamaica's Reggae Boyz will do battle against South Africa's Bafana Bafana on Tuesday November 17, 2009 at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein. The FIFA 2010 World Cup hosts, currently ranked at 85 have been having a rocky run and recently released their Brazilian coach Joel Santana replacing him with his predecessor Carlos Alberto Parreira.

The South Africans will be looking to regain their positive momentum from the FIFA Confederations Cup 2009 with wins in the coming fixtures. However the going may be rough as they face 2010 Qualifiers Japan on November 14 in Port Elizabeth prior to the Tuesday match up with 69th ranked Jamaica.

Jamaica, which did not qualify for the big event in 2010, will be looking to show their worth. Their visit is in keeping with a commitment made by JFF President Captain Horace Burrell to take the Boyz to South Africa one way or another. Jamaica will host South Africa in their final overseas warm up match at The Office on March 17, 2010.

Both teams are composed of local and overseas players and the match-up promises to be an exciting affair. Tickets can be had at Computicket.
